The co-creator of Call of Duty, renowned for co-creating the globally famous franchise Call of Duty, has died in a car accident in the state of California he was 55 years old.

Zampella's death was verified by Electronic Arts, the parent company of Respawn Entertainment, a game studio that he helped create.

The influential industry figure died after his car crashed and burst into flames on a motorway in the Los Angeles area on Sunday morning, as reported by.

"This represents a devastating loss, and our hearts are with Vince's family, his family, and all those touched by his work," a representative from Electronic Arts stated.
