Star Refutes Anti-Vax Views After Narrating Contentious Pandemic Feature

The "Taken" star has lent his vocal talents to a feature-length documentary that challenges the legitimacy of vaccinations and commends ex- government figure Robert F Kennedy Jr.

The Documentary's Provocative Foundation

Named "Plague of Corruption," the project is adapted from a popular book written by Judy Mikovits, who gained notoriety during the global outbreak for claims that the illness was caused by a faulty batch of the seasonal immunization.

The book's collaborator, the executive producer, has previously authored books with controversial figure the Infowars host. He took to social media hailing Neeson's involvement in the film.

A Strong Rebuttal

Representatives for Liam Neeson have released a response strongly denying implications that he supports anti-immunization beliefs.

"Everyone can acknowledge that misconduct may occur within the drug industry, but that must not be confused with being against vaccines," the response reads. "He never has been, and remains not, anti-vax. His long work with the UN children's agency reinforces his consistent support for global immunisation initiatives."

It noted that the star did not shape the documentary's messaging and that concerns about its claims should be directed to the filmmakers.

Central Claims In the Feature

In the film, the narration provided by Neeson makes several strong claims:

  • It states that pro-vaccine voices have called for "unconditional submission" to public institutions.
  • It declares that "medical science has become highly politicized."
  • Kennedy is shown stating, "The major issue with vaccines is that they simply are not safely tested."
  • It further attacks pandemic restrictions, arguing they caused severe distress that cost thousands of lives.
  • On the topic of the immunizations, it cites a view that they were "developed too quickly" and seen as "dangerous experiments."

Past Context and Current Disputes

The film further cites a 2004 BBC documentary about HIV drug testing on children, which was later the focus of a BBC apology by the broadcaster for unbalanced reporting.

Last month, Kennedy instructed the Centers for Disease Control to alter its longstanding position that there is no connection between vaccines and autism spectrum disorder. This supposed link is also referenced in the film, despite a recent study from the World Health Organisation stating no connection has been found.

A Previous Statement of Support

Contrasting the documentary's tone, Neeson has previously expressed clear advocacy for vaccines in his position as a Unicef global ambassador.

Previously, he called vaccines as "a remarkable triumph," adding that "The discourse about vaccines in the past few years has overlooked how much good they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest shared accomplishments in our history."

"Plague of Corruption" finishes with Neeson's narration saying, "This marks not the conclusion of our journey. This is the dawn of a new chapter."
