Football Expert Sutton Takes On Singer Murs in Top Flight Forecasts
Arsenal's ten-match victorious run was ended by the Black Cats prior to the global break, however will the Premier League leaders recover against local foes Spurs this Sunday?
"{I believe like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs boss Thomas Frank will have a strategy for this game," remarked soccer specialist Chris Sutton.
"The Spurs manager will try to nullify Arsenal, who have not always been at their sparkling finest this season - but Mikel Arteta's team typically still manage to win."
Sutton is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League fixtures this season, versus AI, readers and a range of special visitors.
For the twelfth round, he faces performer Olly Murs, who is a United supporter.
The singer's latest album, Knees Up, is available on the weekend.
Football and Parenting Life
Murs is a talented footballer as well as a accomplished singer and has been a featured player of several Soccer Aid matches down the years - but he is not intending a professional return as a footballer.
"{I actually played in a benefit match the other evening for a friend of mine," he explained. "The side was trailing 3-1 when I was substituted in the 60th minute, and they proceeded to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you want!
"I continue to love football, but I injured my knee a few years ago and it still isn't where I want it to be. I wish I could play more but the unpredictability of the game means it's too dangerous for me in my career to do it properly again.
"Additionally I am 41 now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am preparing for the moment that my child or son decides to play instead."
The singer and his spouse Amelia Tank have a young family, their daughter and their son, and he is prepared to emulate his dad by taking on the role of their coach.
"I will not force football on our children but I've already told Amelia that if they happen to get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my manager qualifications - and I will probably be coaching their weekend soccer side," he said.
"I watched my relatives play a lot, and I really got into it, and I obviously owned a soccer team for a period too.
"My dad coached with us when I was a kid, which is probably where I inherited it. He managed our team for several seasons and had great fun with it. That might be the future for me as well, and I am excited to it!"
Top Division Predictions
Saturday, 22 November
- Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT
The Blues might have to be patient for their star's comeback from injury but their attack is already stronger with Pedro and Liam Delap both back fit.
In my opinion this game will be quite tight, though. The Clarets are well organised and their only at Turf Moor defeats so far have been against Liverpool and Arsenal.
It suggests a one-all draw to me, but I am actually going to go with the London side to edge it for what would be their third consecutive league win in a row.
The expert's prediction: 1-2
Olly's pick: The Blues will be too strong. 1-3
AI's prediction: 0-2
- Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT
The Cherries have been defeated in their previous couple matches - although both of them were on the road - but they got thoroughly beaten by Aston Villa last time out which shocked me.
On the other hand, West Ham secured two in a row before the hiatus and, although both of those fixtures were at their stadium, they do look strong again.
West Ham's only away win this campaign came at Forest in August, when their boss Nuno Espirito Santo was still that team's manager.
So, what exactly do I go with here - can the Hammers extending their streak under Nuno, or the home side bouncing back?
I am going to go with the Cherries, because I believe what happened against Aston Villa was a blip.
Sutton's forecast: 2-0
Olly's outlook: The home team are doing well but the visitors have improved under their boss. 2-2
AI's prediction: 1-1
- Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT
Brentford were considered one of the favourites for the drop before the campaign started, but they have surprised a several people under their manager and are in fine fettle with three wins in their last four games.
A family member told me to select Brentford striker Igor Thiago in my Fantasy Football squad a few weeks ago and, unfortunately, I didn't listen.
The forward will likely score again on the weekend but I am nonetheless not going to select him or support the away side at Brighton's ground.
They have not had great fortune on the road this term, and Brighton are consistently strong at home. Brentford will attempt to hit them on the counter-attack but I think the home manager's team carry much more of a threat.
The analyst's prediction: 2-1
Olly's view: It could be a match where you think there is going to be a many scores but it actually turns out to be quite close. 1-1
AI's outcome: 2-1
- Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT
This is a massive game for the Cottagers, who have lost five of their past six games.
Fulham have have plenty of quality in their team but it nonetheless feels like they could be dragged into a relegation fight.
Regarding the Black Cats, well they are the surprise package of the top flight season so far.
The away side's display in the 2-2 tie with Arsenal last time out was superb. We have not witnessed any other team rough up the North London side like that this term, and they were more than a match for them.
The sensible thing to do to back the visitors here, because they are obviously capable of disrupting the hosts up too and, the previous occasion they were in this part of London, they beat the Blues at the close of October.
But I am not choose that. Rather, I really need to continue opposing the away team with my forecasts. I am claiming a lot of responsibility for their good outcomes because they clearly enjoy to prove me wrong.
Considering Fulham's home form, the only side they have lost to is the league leaders. Their manager's team will be absolutely eager for a good result, so I am going to predict they will pick up three much-needed points.
Sutton's forecast: 1-0
The guest's prediction: I know the visitors are performing strongly and also that Fulham are on a poor streak... but Fulham have still been respectable at home this season. 2-0
The algorithm's prediction: 2-0

This is a tough fixture to call. The Reds have lost seven of their past 10 games in all competitions, but could they be among the sides who benefit from the {international break|
