Administration Denounces 'Democratic Hoax' as Further Jeffrey Epstein Photos Released
House Democrats have published a fresh batch of what they termed "disturbing" photographs from the property of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, featuring notably Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, and former British royal Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.
The first release of 19 images—some of which have been seen before—along with another 70 issued later on Friday represent a tiny fraction of the approximately 100,000 images released to the House investigative panel, which is looking into the actions and ties of Epstein.
The disgraced financier was a victim of apparent suicide in a New York detention cell in 2019 after being indicted on sex-trafficking charges.
Notable Figures in the Photos
Among the prominent personalities seen in the opening set are public figures featuring movie maker Woody Allen; Microsoft creator Bill Gates; and Richard Branson, originator of the Virgin conglomerate.
Donald Trump is featured in three of the first nineteen images. In one, he is photographed with six women, whose faces are redacted.
White House Statement
The White House responded to the release in a official comment, alleging Democrats of purposefully "choosing" the pictures for partisan aims and to "try and create a false storyline."
"This Democratic fabrication against President Trump has been time and again refuted," a White House spokesperson remarked, asserting that "this presidency has done more for Epstein's victims than Democrats have at any point by frequently urging transparency, disclosing reams of records, and urging further investigations into Epstein's liberal connections."
Congressional Democrat Statement
The photos were disclosed without context, but according to a Democratic representative from California and ranking member of the investigative panel, they prompt further inquiries about Epstein's connections to affluent people.
"The moment has come to stop this White House concealment and bring justice to the survivors of Jeffrey Epstein and his influential associates," he stated in a release.
The release of these images occurs alongside the oversight committee continuing its inquiry into the Epstein case.
